Freelance Writing: Write A Query Letter That Sucks!
Surely, some of us will write query letters that suck. All of us don’t know how to write them correctly, right? How do you write a query letter that rocks? More important, how will I write a query letter that rocks? I didn’t know the answer I had a few ideas. During my research, I discovered that writing a query letter isn’t as daunting as I imagined. Great, I thought, it looks as though I will actually be able to write one of these things. Although, first, I might need some guidance.
While searching through websites that focus on freelance writing I came across a book titled Query Letters That Rock. A catchy title, right? Who wants a query letter that sucks? Since I want to write a killer query letter, if needed, I decided to research this book. I promptly scoured the net for reviews about this book. Impressed and bought the book yesterday. Judging by my Amazon tracking information I should receive it today.
One of my friends happens to be a freelance writer, and her work is regularly published in magazines. She has a weekly gig with a local newspaper and her work has been featured in the Nickelodeon magazine. I’ll be following up with her to get her advice on freelancing.
I haven’t revealed my newest website to my main website yet. If I did I know I would receive a lot of traffic simply because it’s receiving a lot of traffic. I’ll continue to write in my quiet addicted to writing haven as I explore the world of freelancing, hopefully I’ll meet other freelance writers along the way, and eventually I’ll introduce my readers at my main website to addicted to writing. I’m in no rush.
