Freelance Writing: How Much Money Can I Make As A Freelance Writer?

I’m curious to see how much I can make with freelance writing. If you’re like the freelance writer, Chris, you can make over $7,000 monthly. I’m the “new freelance writer” on the block. I’ve been a freelance writer for three weeks in that time I wrote a few articles and made well over 1k.

The main reason I landed jobs immediately were because I have a lot of connections. I have many websites and could effectively sell myself simply based on the many writing samples aka blog entries that I already have. Do you know what? My first clients have been my readers. The rule #1 is you need to make your readers feel welcome you should respond to their comments. That should be common sense, but I’ve seen many instances on blogs which make me think this isn’t common knowledge. I never ignore my readers. I always follow up with my comments/emails despite how long it takes me. I treat people how I want to be treated. People remember that.

I’m a business owner and decided to market myself by including my new venture to my customers. Many of my customers have chosen to receive newsletter’s from myself. In my newsletters, I write about nutrition, and I usually add a few tips on health or include simple recipes they can make at home. I always include something that is happening in my life so adding the fact that I was working as a freelance writer wouldn’t come of as “spammy”. Guess what? I picked up a few more clients although new to selling my services as a freelance writer I’m not new to writing.

I admit it! I’m addicted to writing. I have fifteen websites twelve of them are active. I enjoy blogging it’s a fun medium and gives me a chance to feed my fix, writing!

How much can I make as a freelance writer? I’m not sure, but I do see the potential of making a lot of money if I market myself correctly. This month because of the client’s I’ve acquired I should do very well. It should be a lot of fun, and the beauty of it is I’m getting paid to write. I’m addicted to writing so I’m loving it.
